NOTE: When F40 or F80 Flash Accelerator cards are installed, each card requires an additional PCIe hot-plug carrier extension (Option 7107171) for adequate air flow and cooling. The PCIe carrier extension will occupy an additional, adjacent PCIe slot within the chassis. With factory assembled orders, one PCIe hot-plug carrier extension is automatically included for each Flash Accelerator. However, the field installation of a Flash Accelerator in a SPARC T5-4 or T5-8 server requires including the PCIe hot-plug carrier extension with the order.
