Sun Fire[tm] X2200 M2 Server: Repair Procedures

This section provides tips (when available) for the most common repair procedures for the Sun Fire X2200 M2. The repair procedures are provided in the following manual:

The following table provides tips associated with each component.

Component Tips
Disks
  • Certain Seagate disk drives may experience servo seek errors. (FAB 1022189.1).
Memory
  • Specific Micron 4GB DIMMs are experiencing Multiple/Single Bit Error failures on some platforms with AMD Quad Core (Barcelona) processors.(FAB 1019713.1).
  • On Sun Fire X2200 M2 and X2100 M2, PC Check diagnostics only checks 9 DIMMs (or less) and the remainder DIMMs are untested. Another described issue results in false positive errors.(FAB 1000523.1).
