Purpose

 This Document is intended to facilitate Troubleshooting for Oracle EPAP OpenSystems issues.

Troubleshooting Steps

 

Oracle Communications.  EPAP

 

Upload Files / Attachments

Please obtain and upload the following log files:

    • Logfile created during the execution of above commands.(Mandatory)

    • Login to EPAP GUI and provide the screenshots of the Banner information.

    • Login to the EPAP GUI and provide a screenshot of the View RTDB Status

    • Please upload any other relevant screenshots that you feel would help with the troubleshooting of this issue.

    • From command line or GUI, execute savelogs commnd. The results will be saved in a file located in directory: /var/TKLC/epap/free

    • From command line, run savelogs_plat command as follows:The results will be saved in a file located in directory: /tmp

 

Additional Information

 

 

1.   Please indicate how the issue is affecting your business.

  • Is this issue for a Production or Lab system?

  • What impact is this issue currently having on system functionality? What exactly is not working properly?

  • Provisioning Sites: Are EPAP PDB databases receiving and processing database updates and are database levels in sync?

  • Provisioning and Non-Provisioning Sites: are all RTDB databases receiving updates and are database levels in sync?

  • All EPAP Sites: are PDB and RTDB databases showing Coherent status?

  • Eagle STPs: Are Eagle DSM’s receiving database updates and are all databases Coherent and in sync?

 

 

 

 

2.  Answer all of the following questions:

  • What are the IP addresses of EPAP-A and EPAP-B,  of the affected site(s)?

  • Does the EPAP GUI show any banner alarms? If so, provide the details here.

  • Was there any maintenance or any activities being executed before this issue was discovered? If so, please provide complete details.

  • Do you have any thoughts or ideas of what has caused or contributed to this issue?

 

 

 

 

 

3.  Please collect the following commands from EPAP command line, for both EPAP-A and EPAP-B servers.

These are mandatory requirement

  • rpm -qi TKLCepap

  • getPlatRev

  • cat /var/TKLC/hardware/hw_id

  • uptime

  • date;ssh mate date

  • ntpq -p;ssh mate ntpq -p

  • syscheck

  • syscheck -v

  • manageBannerInfo -l

  • dbstattool

  • df -h

  • fdisk -l

  • cat /proc/mdstat

  • ps -ef

FROM Eagle:

  • rept-stat-mps

  • rept-stat-db:db=mps:display=all
