Purpose

 

This Document is intended to facilitate Troubleshooting for Oracle LSMS OpenSystems issues.

Troubleshooting Steps

 

Oracle Communications.   LSMS

Upload Files / Attachments

Please obtain and upload the following log files:

    • From command line, execute savelogs command. The results will be saved in a file located in directory: /var/TKLC/LSMS/free.

    • From command line, run /usr/TKLC/plat/sbin/savelogs_plat command as follows:The results will be saved in a file located in directory: /tmp (not possible without root access)

    • Provide a screenshot of the LSMS GUI and

    • Please upload any other relevant screenshots that you feel would help with the troubleshooting of this issue.

 1.  Please indicate how the issue is affecting your business.

  • Is there a question about documentation?

  • Are you seeking information about an undocumented functionality?

Product Failure:

  • Is this issue for a Production or Lab system?

  • How did you become aware of the failure?

  • What system functionality is failing?

  • Eagle STPs: Are Eagle DSM’s receiving database updates and are all databases Coherent and in sync?

 

 

 

2.  Answer all of the following questions:

  • What are the IP addresses of Lsmspri and Lsmssec  of the affected site?

  • Was there any maintenance or any activities being executed before this issue was discovered? If so, please provide complete details.

  • Do you have any thoughts or ideas of what has caused or contributed to this issue?

 

 

 

 

3.  Please collect the following commands from EPAP command line, for both EPAP-A and EPAP-B servers.

  • uptime

  • hostname

  • hostid

  • date;ssh mate date

  • ntpq -p;ssh mate ntpq -p

  • rpm -qi TKLClsms

  • getPlatRev

  • syscheck

  • sentry status

  • cat /var/TKLC/hardware/hw_id

  • df -h

  • fdisk –l

  • ps -ef | grep defunct
