iSER (iSCSI Extention over RDMA) is used as a default method of iSCSI communication when you use Infiniband. Once iSER fails, we use IPoIB (IP over Infiniband) to run iSCSI on the top of IPoIB. iSER equipments are transparently managed in iSCSI components such as under "configuration san initiators iscsi" on CLI.
