In this Document
Applies to:Sun Enterprise 10000 Server - Version Not Applicable to Not Applicable [Release N/A]Information in this document applies to any platform. PurposeThis document contains common errors and problems encountered when using Inter-Domain Networking (IDN) on the E10000 server. Troubleshooting Stepsdomain_link reports IDN_NWR_SIZE conflicts with domain id XCheck the value of idn-smr-size in the eeprom image of all domains that are using IDN. This value must be the same across all domains. domain_link reports IDN state NOT SUPPORTEDSomething similar to the following is reported: ssp0:domain1% domain_link domain1 domain2 domain_link: ...Checking IDN state of domain1 : NOT SUPPORTED domain_link: ...Checking IDN state of domain2 : READY Assuming the OS of the domain meets the requirements for IDN, and the IDN packages are installed (see 'IDN Requirements' in document http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E19065-01/servers.10k/806-4131-10/806-4131-10.pdf)
When the driver loads it sets a "cookie" in BBSRAM of the bootproc. domain_link examines the BBSRAM and if the cookie is not found the domain is tagged as NOT SUPPORTED. ifconfig'ing the idn interface will automatically load the driver. Attachments This solution has no attachment |
