Purpose

The purpose of this document is to validate the following symptoms and provide the most accurate fix:

- loop card disabled

- loop card offline

Troubleshooting Steps

NOTE: This is a sub-set of <Document: 1018272.1> Troubleshooting Sun StorEdge[TM] T3 Configuration.
This document will help with faulted loop cards based on similar "fru stat"output below:
LOOP STATUS STATE MODE CABLE1 LB CABLE2 LB TEMP
------ ------- ---------- ------- --------- -- --------- -- ----
u1l1 ready enabled master - - installed 10 27
u1l2 ready disabled slave - - installed 11 33
u2l1 ready enabled master installed 10 - - 27
u2l2 offline

1. Enable loop card with "enable u#[1|2]" command.

storage-t3b:/:<3>enable u1|2

2. Verify that the loop card is now ready and enabled with the "fru stat" command.

NOTE: Wait about 1 minute before running "fru stat" as to allow the array to recover.

3. If the loop card is still not ready-enabled, then replace loop card.
