PreviouslyPublishedAs 218994 Symptoms Hosts can not see targets Hosts zoned by port can not see targets Hosts can not see target while in Open Fabric Interop Mode Resolution One reason for this to occur is that the Interop Mode for the switch is set in Open Fabric 1.0 and zoning is done by Domain, Port. McData does not support Domain, Port zoning while in Open Fabric 1.0 Interoperability Mode. This can be confirmed in the <Document: 1015627.1> Product Information log file. Resolution Options

Interop Mode is for connecting switches in a heterogeneous vendor environment. If all of your switches in the fabric are McData switches, Open Fabric Mode is not suggested.
