Goal

Query is to increase the idle user's client session timeout value
 

Solution

Below procedure provided to configure login restriction for user Lockout time and Inactivity period:-

1. Go to the directory "/Tekelec/WebNMS/conf".

 2. Create a backup copy of the original config file.
  eg.
  # cp clientparameters.conf clientparameters.bak-

 3. Open the config file with vi editor and in "clientparameters.conf" and edit the following lines as desired.

  ALLOWED_IDLE_TIME_BEFORE_LOCKOUT=""
  ALLOWED_IDLE_TIME_BEFORE_TERMINATION=""

  a). ALLOWED_IDLE_TIME_BEFORE_LOCKOUT : lockout time default value is 30 minutes. Set this parameter set to zero for user session do not lock out.
  b). ALLOWED_IDLE_TIME_BEFORE_TERMINATION: inactivity time default value is 60 minutes.

4. Save and exit.

5. Restart the E5MS service for the new config to be effective.
