How to change IP of MASP Card

Solution

NOTE - Before activity kindly check New IP's to be added cannot be used anywhere in network. check whether New IP's present in IP HOST Table by command " rtrv-ip-host:display=all " . If new IPs are present delete this IP host from table by command : dlt-ip-host:host=XXXX .

Since the MASPs IP change activity involves switch over of MASP cards it is recommended to set a maintenance window for this activity.

Procedure to be followed -

step 1: Run command , rept-stat-card:appl=oam ( Note down Standby MASP Location )
step 2: rtrv-ip-host:display=all ( To check the new IP need to add in MASP card should not present in IP-HOST table )
Step 3: If New IP Present in IP HOST Table , delete this IP host from table by command : dlt-ip-host:host=XXXX
step 4: change IP by command: chg-ip-lnk:ipaddr=xx.xx.xx.xx:submask=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:loc=:port=
step 5: Now need to do MASP Switchover , run command - init-card: loc=XXXX ( Acvive MASP ) By this procedure Active MASP becomes Standby and follow same procedure again.
