 Commands To Execute To Replace An E5-IPSM Card With SLIC Card, As IPSM Card Is No Longer Supported in Release 46.5 an Above

Solution

E5-IPSM cards (870-2877-xx), are not supported in SW Release 46.5 and higher. E5-ISPM cards may remain in the EAGLE at the start of the upgrade to Release 46.5, but must be removed and replaced by the E5-ENET-B (P/N 870-2872-xx) or the SLIC (P/N 7094646) card, at the completion of the upgrade.

The functionality of the E5-IPSM cards is performed by the E5-ENET-B or the SLIC card.

Execute These Commands To Replace An IPSM Card With SLIC Card After SW Release 46.5 Upgrade Has Been Completed

   INH-CARD:LOC=xxxx (xxxx=location of IPSM card to be replaced with SLIC card)

   Remove IPSM card and insert SLIC card in location from previous command

   FLASH-CARD:LOC=xxxx:CODE=APPR     (xxxx=Location of SLIC Card from previous command)

   ALW-CARD:LOC=xxxx    (xxxx=Location of SLIC card from previous command)

   REPT-STAT-CARD:LOC=xxxx    (xxxx=Location of SLIC card from previous command)

Confirm command output CARD TYPE=SLIC and GPL=IPSHC is displayed for card location of SLIC card inserted

EXAMPLE:

1105 140-038-000 SLIC IPSHC IS-NR Active -----

NOTE: RTRV-CARD:LOC=XXXX, output will still display CARD TYPE=IPSM and APPL=IPS
