Questions:
1. Are the values incorrectly displayed?
2. Is it going to be fixed in code?
3. Is there any impact due to this?
4. Is there any workaround?

Solution

The register counter values are wrapped and then instead of resetting to 0, it went to negative value. 'Wrapped' means counter resetting back to 0.

Answers in-line per Development update:

1. Are the values incorrectly displayed?
[Engg.]: The counter reached its max value and instead of resetting to 0, it went negative. So, yes, the value is cosmetic error.

2. Is it going to be fixed in code?
[Engg.]: Development informed that the code review was rejected because it effects system wide counters. So, there will not be any code change.

3. Is there any impact due to this?
[Engg.]: There will not be any service impact

4. Is there any workaround?
[Engg.]: Need to manually reset the counter using 'reset sipd all' command

There is no impact with counters going negative. The RCA is that the counters reached its max value and instead of resetting to 0 , it went negative. This is just the counters display issue. The solution is that you can reset the values or wait for it to wrap again to become positive. As of now, there is no plan to make any changes in the code, as this change would affect system wide counters.
