Applies to:

Oracle Communications Diameter Signaling Router (DSR) - Version DSR 7.3.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Issue getting some of the Gx interface diameter connection to Available state.

Solution

Its TCP based diameter connection. from the Traces it was found that the DSR was sending below error in response to the CER received from Peer node.

Result Code AVP :5012,diameter.Result-Code == 5012

Err Message AVP :  DCL-ERR-5012-003: Advertised and actual peer address(es) mismatch.

The CER received from the Peer contains the Host AVP which is different from the Actual IP address. The connection is configured to use the default connection configuration set. The default set has parameter " CEX host ip validation" set to enabled and its causing DSR to reject the CER request. To meet the requirement customer created a new connection configuration set with "CEX host ip validation" set to disable and after that the diameter connection come to Available state.
