Solution Type Technical Instruction Sure Solution 2389227.1 : IXP xDR Build License Expired on New Server or After Server Replacement
If a server replacement is done (or adding a new server) on an IXP subsystem that was upgraded from release 9, the new server will show a STARTUP / EXPIRED license. A work around is needed to remove the need for the license as per PIC 10 spec. In this Document
Created from <SR 3-17070512191> Applies to:Oracle Communications Performance Intelligence Center (PIC) Software - Version 10.0.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform. GoalAfter server replacement or adding a new IXP to an existing subsystem, the new server shows the following (keep in mind the date is an example):
[cfguser@ixp0005-1f ~]$ IxpCheckLicense Solution1) As cfguser, run on all IXP servers in the subsystem: $ pm.set off IxpManage
$ rm -f /opt/TKLCixp/.ixpsc.conf /opt/TKLCixp/.ixpkey.conf /home/cfguser/IxpSubsystemKey.data /home/cfguser/IxpLicenseKey.data 2) Run on primary IXP server (you can find the Active Master/Primary server by running iFoStat): $ itrunc License
3) Run on all IXP Servers : $ pm.set on IxpManage
Now the license will show: [cfguser@ixp0005-1f ~]$ IxpCheckLicense Attachments This solution has no attachment |
