Goal

How does Request/Response flow & SSH access integration functionality work with LDAP remote servers?

Solution

The LDAP authentication uses the standard LDAP protocol for authentication. Specifically, an LDAP bind is performed. If the user is logging into a NO, the NO performs the bind request. From the SO, the SO makes the request.

When you configure your LDAP server, you can confirm the configuration by performing a test authentication from

Main Menu: Administration -> Remote Servers -> LDAP Authentication [Test Server] operation.

Every authentication must be for a preconfigured GUI account; the GUI account has the associated group settings; we do not query this from LDAP.

Regarding SSH LDAP configuration:- This is probably possible but not tested or supported in DSR. Sounds like something that consulting might be able to work out. If you want a production feature, open an RFF.
