Goal

On the DSR , we notice a alarm ID 22328 reporting for a connection which doesn't even taking any traffic.

For example :
2021 22328 2018-03-16 17:54:52.100 CET MINOR ... dsr SOAM mp07 DIAM IcRate[conn_S6b_diam_a1], DIAM
IcRate GN_ABVTHRESH/WRN Metric IcRate above minor threshold ^^ Current: 510 Onse...

We have verified the traffic and there was not any traffic during this period.

Solution

You can first try to clear the alarm by alarm.put command with following syntax :

alarm.put –e <eventName> –s 5 –i <instanceName>

Since the Alarm was reported for disabled connection, we went to delete the connection. Even after deleting the connection, i found that the alarm is still coming. What we observed that the alarm 22328 is only reported on specific MP blades. Although the connections were deleted, but we still see the alarms for those deleted connection.

We rebooted the MP in MW and this cleared the appearance of Alarm 22328 for the deleted (non-existing connections).

We have created bug to report this issue. .
