Goal

Standby server is no longer reachable.

Solution

First try ping from:

  1. Mate (Active) OCEEMS
  2. Eagle STPs
  3. From any other client/machine on same network

If Ping is unsuccessful from all locations, then this is a network or hardware issue.

If there is no known issue on network side, then physically check if the ethernet port light is green (with respect to hardware service guide of machine).

Try to connect to iLO or a direct serial connection to server to confirm if there is any specific hardware issue on server. Involve the hardware supplier for further hardware troubleshooting.
