E3088 Cmd Rej: Platformenable or Oamhcmeas option must be ON

Solution

Basic OAM measurements is obsolete starting EAGLE R 46.3.

EAGLE - Obsolete OAM Measurements:-

This enhancement removes the support of OAM Measurements and FTA Zone. From EAGLE 46.3 and later, basic OAM measurements are not supported. For measurement collection to happen, either the Integrated Measurements Feature (ctrl-feat) or MCPM Based Collection Feature (measplat=on) should be enabled.

Please note upgrade to R 46.3 with the below configuration will fail in upgrade phase 0.

Collect=ON (rtrv-meas-sched)
measplat=OFF (rtrv-feat)
Integrated Measurement feature = OFF (rtrv-ctrl-feat)
platformenable = OFF (rtrv-measopts)
oamhcmeas = OFF (rtrv-measopts)

The upgrade will fail with the below error message,

E3088 Cmd Rej: Platformenable or Oamhcmeas option must be on

platformenable or oamhcmeas must be configured as ON, Otherwise Upgrade cannot proceed

However, upgrade to R 46.3 will be successful with the below configuration.

Collect=OFF (rtrv-meas-sched)
measplat=OFF (rtrv-feat)
Integrated Measurement feature = OFF (rtrv-ctrl-feat)
platformenable = OFF (rtrv-measopts)
oamhcmeas = OFF (rtrv-measopts)

We have few customer using only basic OAM measurements feature . Keeping this in mind it is important to highlight that Basic OAM measurements is obsolete starting EAGLE R 46.3 in the Health check analysis instead of stating proceed with upgrade making collect OFF.

Note:- Collect cannot be turned ON in R 46.3 and later if both Platformenable and Oamhcmeas options are OFF.
