Goal

This Document should be referred to perform SWITCHOVER (SWO) from Active to Standby NOAM in OCUDR.
 

Solution

WARNING*** : NOAM switch over will have momentarily impact both on Provisioning and SH traffic. Maintenance window is recommended.

Network Architecture:


OCUDR system with 2 NOAM's: 1(ACT) + 1(STB) 

Procedure:


1. Login the NOAM GUI and go to Main Menu – Status & Manage – HA.
2. Assuming NOAM 1 is active and 2 is Standby as per Figure 1

3. Press the Edit button and change the “Max Allowed HA Role” of NOAM 1 to “Standby” like Figure 2.

4. After performing step 3, GUI access will be lost and open the GUI again and you will get the new alarm like Figure 3.

5. Go to Main Menu: Status & Manage – HA [Edit] and change the NOAM-1 to “Active” as below Figure 4

6. Check the NOAM status now, it will change as below Figure 5
