How to correct the BIOS time in EPAPs?

Solution

The BIOS time reset usually happens when the card is re-seated, since E5-APPB doesn't have a battery to preserve the date.

We need to manually set the BIOS Date/Time with current Date/Time in GMT.
Please reboot the server, enter the BIOS and do the changes as mentioned below.

====================================================================================

1. While using Putty, make sure the keyboard selection is VT100+

2. Do a console login to the server as root

3. Verify the complete system status

4. Reboot the server

    #reboot

5. Press "DEL" key when the system reboots. This will take you to BIOS screen.

6. In the MAIN screen use arrow keys to navigate to Date and Time

7. Set the correct date and time, save and exit.
