Goal

NSP does not starts with error Insufficient Shared memory

Solution

The MEMORY_TARGET module required 24GB in NSP. 32 GB is allocated to shared memory.
Sometimes NSP does not get 24 GB to start the Oracle instance which has MEMORY_TARGET model.

NSP is installed a VM with other two server being DWH and PDU server.
Set sched.mem.pshare.enable to FALSE.
Otherwise other servers (DWH/PDU) can use shared memory from NSP.

Making the sched.mem.pshare.enable to FALSE will make sure NSP will not share shared memory with any other servers in the same VM.

Note:

Under VMWare if multiple guests have same OS, then VMWare optimizes the memory usages by sharing the shared memory between the guest Operating Systems.
