Solution 2365697.1 : How To Clear Alarm Event 22061 ETG Monitoring Stopped With Error Info No DA-MP Leader

Goal

Following Alarm appeared in DSR system :-

EVENT_NUMBER: 22061
NAME: ETG Monitoring stopped
DESCR: ETG Rate and Pending Transaction Monitoring is stopped on all configured ETGs
ERR_INFO:GN_WARNING/WRN ETG Reason=No DA-MP Leader

Solution

New MPs had been added to DSR but still no connections were created with new MPs (MP-3 and MP-4). Somehow MP-3 was showing as MP leader despite of no Diameter connections. Advised to restart MP-3 and MP-4 using Status&Manage SOAM GUI. When they were stopped, MP-1 become leader(having diameter connections) which cleared the alarm.

Verifying MP leader role in active SOAM:-

1. Login to SOAM GUI using VIP.
2. Navigate to Main Menu: Diameter -> Maintenance -> DA-MPs
3. Under Peer-DA-MP status tab, either MP-1 or MP-2 must be showing MP-leader status as YES.

Any MP with active diameter connections should be MP leader.
