Goal

How do Eagle STP Calculate Used TPS/Licenses on a IPSG Card?

Solution

Eagle STP take into account Max MAXSLKTPS based on card type (E5-ENET-A, E5-ENET-B or SLIC) as indicated on Table 51: MaxTPS Per Card from Commands User's Guide to calculate used TPS/licenses on a IPSG card and following next rules:

a ) If the sum of MAXSLKTPS of the links configured on an IPSG card is lower or equal than the Max MAXSLKTPS of the IPSG card (See Table 51: MaxTPS Per Card from Commands User's Guide), the amount of used TPS/licenses (MAXSLKTPS) on this card is equal to the sum of MAXSLKTPS of the links configured on the card.

Example:

MAXSLKTPS on IPSG/SLIC card 1101 is 5000 TPS:

Total SLKTPS is (4000 of 10000) 40%

b ) If the sum of MAXSLKTPS of the links configured on an IPSG card is higher than the Max MAXSLKTPS of the IPSG card (See Table 51: MaxTPS Per Card from Commands User's Guide), the amount of used TPS/licenses (MAXSLKTPS) on this card is equal to Max MAXSLKTPS of the IPSG card.

Example:

As 6500 TPS + 6500 TPS > 10000 TPS, MAXSLKTPS on IPSG/SLIC card 5312 is 10000 TPS:
