Goal
What are key things to consider with respect to memory space utilization on OCEEMS?
Solution
Following are some precautions that must be taken care of on an OCEEMS application.
- OCEEMS is not a data repository. Do not store any irrelevant data on server under any circumstances.
- Do not create any custom folders on OCEEMS.
- Do not store routine Eagle Backup files on OCEEMS.
- Scheduled reports in OCEEMS reporting studio should not be saved on E5MS.
- Make sure that the OCEEMS size does not exceed 80% on this OCEEMS. If it does, identify reason and make sure that auto cleanup scripts for measurements and DB are running properly so that manual intervention is not required.
- Keep a latest formal record of OCEEMS backup.
- Keep operating system DVD/USB available onsite to manage any crash scenario.
- Adequate server labeling should be done to help onsite personnel identify the correct machine.
