Goal

Firmware to support LTO-8 drives in SL3000 library.

Solution

SL3000 is: Release 4.50 Firmware for sl3000(Patch 27376150)

SLConsole needs to be 6.70. 6.70 can be downloaded at https://edelivery.oracle.com:

Select "Download Package" and use keyword "SLC". Click on the search button and the files will pull up.

Note: IBM LTO-8 drives are supported in the SL3000. HP LTO-8 drives are not supported.
