Goal
BDA v4.10.0 and higher versions have support added for the new replacement 8 TB drives - model HGST H7280B520SUN8.0T.
For BDA clusters running older versions i.e. running BDA V4.9 or lower, there will be health check warnings which can be ignored.
The following conditions must exist for the health check warnings to occur:
- The system must have 8TB high capacity disk drives with make/model HGST H7280B520SUN8.0T.
- The BDA servers must be running BDA V4.9 or lower.
Solution
On BDA V4.9 or lower, any servers with a replacement 8TB high capacity disk drive with make/model HGST H7280A520SUN8.0T will raise health check warnings. The warnings look like:
