Solution Type Technical Instruction Sure Solution 2345453.1 : If Alarm Duration Is Less To One Minute, E5MS to Stop Sending SNMP Traps To The NMS
In this Document
Created from <SR 3-16558715531> Applies to:Oracle Communications EAGLE (Software) - Version E5-MS 46.2 and laterTekelec GoalIf the alarm ceases in less than one minute, the NMS does not clear the alarm even though the cleaning SNMP trap is sent by the E5MS. Can the elimination of sent traps of alarms and events with a duration of less than one minute be configured? SolutionThe purpose of SNMP traps is to send them in real time. If an alarm appears/clears within a one minute time, its corresponding trap will be sent in the same interval. There is no way of throttling/delaying trap transfers. Also, when an alarm appears there is no way to identify whether that alarm will clear within one minute or not. Hence OCEEMS cannot delay/remove a trap from transfer.
