Goal

The intent of this document is to provide the reader with the available versions of the Cross-CPU live migration between Fujitsu SPARC M12 servers and other platforms with Oracle Solaris 10 control domains.

Solution

 By applying Oracle VM Server for SPARC 3.2.0.4 (patch 151934-04), Fujitsu SPARC M12 servers with Oracle Solaris 10 control domain have the capability of Cross-CPU live migration from/to another platforms with the required patch.

The required patches for each platform are below.

Platform  Required Patch
Fujitsu SPARC M12 server  151934-04 or later
Fujitsu SPARC M10 servers 151934-03 or later
SPARC T-series servers(*) 151934-03 or later

(*) SPARC T7 servers or later are not included since their control domain requires Oracle Solaris 11.

Note: Fujitsu SPARC M12 servers with Oracle Solaris 10 control domain can not migrate from/to any platforms with Oracle Solaris 11 control domain.
