Goal

How to logically partition the SL48 library

Solution

Partitioning steps :

1) Log in to the SL48 GUI

2) Click the 'Configuration' tab

3) Under the 'Logical Libraries' section, click the 'Select Mode' drop down box to select the desired number of partitions (number of logical libraries).

(In SL48 we can create maximum 4 number of partitions depending upon the number of drives installed in the library)

4) Verify the System Configuration

5) Verify the selections under 'Extended Configuration For Logical Libraries'. Ensure LUN allocation etc is correct.

6) Click Apply

Return to configuration tab again to verify partitioning is correct
