 Access Module Controller (LOX) Replacement

DISPATCH INSTRUCTIONS
- WHAT SKILLS DOES THE FIELD ENGINEER/ADMINISTRATOR NEED?: Familiar with the SL4000 Library.
- TIME ESTIMATE: 15 minutes
- TASK COMPLEXITY: 1

FIELD ENGINEER/ADMINISTRATOR INSTRUCTIONS:
- PROBLEM OVERVIEW: The Access Module Controller (LOX) Assembly has been determined defective and requires replacement
- WHAT STATE SHOULD THE SYSTEM BE IN TO BE READY TO PERFORM THE RESOLUTION ACTIVITY?: Take the library offline to the system.

Note: Refer to the SL4000 Install and Service Manual for additional details as needed.

Access Module Controller (LOX) Replacement
Required Tools
■ None

Removal
1. Open the Access Module door. You should be able to perform the following procedure with the safety door down.
2. Verify the Ethernet cables at the top of the Access Module Controller are clearly labeled (P1 and P2). Disconnect the cables.
3. Loosen the captive thumb screw at the bottom of the Access Module Controller.
4. Lift up and remove the controller.

Replacement
1. Reverse the removal procedures. Connecting P1 to port 1 and P2 to port 2.

OBTAIN CUSTOMER ACCEPTANCE
- WHAT ACTION DOES THE FIELD ENGINEER/ADMINISTRATOR NEED TO TAKE TO RETURN THE SYSTEM TO AN OPERATIONAL STATE?: Verify the library initializes correctly and bring library online.
