FIELD ENGINEER/ADMINISTRATOR INSTRUCTIONS:
- PROBLEM OVERVIEW: The Switch Assembly has been determined defective and requires replacement
- WHAT STATE SHOULD THE SYSTEM BE IN TO BE READY TO PERFORM THE RESOLUTION ACTIVITY?: Take the library offline to the system.

Note: Refer to the SL4000 Install and Service Manual for additional details as needed.

Upper Guide Bracket/Switch Assembly Replacement
Required Tools
■ T25 driver

Removal
1. Take the library offline, and then open the Access Module door.
2. Disconnect the cable, and then remove the two T25 screws.
3. Remove the assembly.

Replacement
1. Align the mounting pegs on the new assembly with the alignment holes in the Access Module frame.
2. Verify the assembly is flush against the frame.
3. Install the two T25 screws, and then re-connect the cable.

OBTAIN CUSTOMER ACCEPTANCE
- WHAT ACTION DOES THE FIELD ENGINEER/ADMINISTRATOR NEED TO TAKE TO RETURN THE SYSTEM TO AN OPERATIONAL STATE?: Verify the switch and library initialize correctly and bring library online.
