- WHAT SKILLS DOES THE FIELD ENGINEER/ADMINISTRATOR NEED?: Familiar with the SL4000 Library.
- TIME ESTIMATE: 15 minutes
- TASK COMPLEXITY: 2
FIELD ENGINEER/ADMINISTRATOR INSTRUCTIONS:
- PROBLEM OVERVIEW: The LED Light Strip has been determined defective and requires replacement
- WHAT STATE SHOULD THE SYSTEM BE IN TO BE READY TO PERFORM THE RESOLUTION ACTIVITY?: Take the library offline to the system.
Note: Refer to the SL4000 Install and Service Manual for additional details as needed.
LED Light Strip (HBLW) Replacement
Removal
1. Take the library offline, and then open the access door.
2. Locate the defective HBLW card on the ceiling of the module.
3. Disconnect the ribbon cables from each end of the card.
4. Pull out the pins from the anchors. Retain for reinstallation.
5. Hold the card with one hand. With the other hand, pull out the anchors. Retain the for reinstallation.
6. Remove the card.
Replacement
1. Align the card so that it matches the orientation of the other HBLW cards. Ensure the holes in the ceiling are visible through the card.
2. Hold the card with one hand. With the other hand, insert the anchors.
3. Insert the pins into the anchors.
4. Connect the ribbon cables on both ends of the card.
OBTAIN CUSTOMER ACCEPTANCE
- WHAT ACTION DOES THE FIELD ENGINEER/ADMINISTRATOR NEED TO TAKE TO RETURN THE SYSTEM TO AN OPERATIONAL STATE?: Verify the LED Light Assembly is functional and bring library online.
