■ ESD protection

Removal
You can only hot-swap library storage hard drives. Do not remove a hard drive while the library is powered off.
1. Locate the faulty storage card (see"Base Card Cage Component Locations"onpage 4-11).
2. Pinch and pull the release levers. Remove the card (see "Removing a Quick Release Component" on page 4-9).

Replacement
1. Slide the new card into place and lock the release levers (see "Installing a Quick Release Component" on page 4-10). The OK light should begin flashing.
2. In the GUI, go to Hardware.
    - Locate the new card in the device status tree. The operational state should be "Rebuilding" as the library duplicates data from the other two storage cards. This process can take up to several hours.
3. Once the operational state of the card indicates "Normal", the replacement is complete.

OBTAIN CUSTOMER ACCEPTANCE
- WHAT ACTION DOES THE FIELD ENGINEER/ADMINISTRATOR NEED TO TAKE TO RETURN THE SYSTEM TO AN OPERATIONAL STATE?: Verify the library is functional.
