Applies to:

Oracle Communications Diameter Signaling Router (DSR) - Version DSR 7.1.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Goal of this article is to guide users to continue upgrade after a server upgrade failed and its problem was identified and cleared.

If attempting to restart the upgrade, may receive an Error popup indicating "[Error Code 314] - <Server_Name> server group already has an automated server group upgrade in progress."  In the Alarms & Events, MJ Event Number 10134 "Server Upgrade Failed" may remain as well.

Solution

The condition is due to the automated server upgrade task still in progress, even though the upgrade itself failed.  Although the cause may have been cleared, the task must likewise be cleared before continuing.  Refer to the target release's Software Upgrade Guide documentation, where an Appendix titled "Recovering From a Failed Upgrade" will provide the necessary steps to clear the condition and proceed with the upgrade.
