Applies to:

Oracle Communications EAGLE (Hardware) - Version LSMS 13.2 to LSMS 13.2 [Release LSMS 13.0]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

LSMS 13.2 servers will not associate with NPAC.

Solution

It appears that there is an NTP bug for LSMS release 13.2.0 that is resolved in LSMS release 13.2.1. When troubleshooting the LSMS it was noted that the servers time was out of sync. The time sync issue could prevent the servers from connecting to NPAC.

Suggested action to prevent this issue form re-occurring is to upgrade to the newest LSMS release. Should this happen prior to the upgrade the fix is to stop and start the NTP process using the following method:

  1. Stop ntp service:
    service ntpd stop
  2. Force sourcing correct time from ntp server:
    ntpdate -b ntpserver1
  3. Restart ntp service:
    service ntpd start
