Solution 2313249.1 : DSR RAR From PCRF Are Not Being Routed To The GGSN

Goal

RAR in Gx are not being routed to the GGSN so we are not sure if the session binding is really being saved. We also made a test with Gy and the message is routed perfectly, the issue is just with Gx.

Solution

The difference in RAR processing between Gx and Gy interface is as per design.

RAR on Gx will go to P-DRA.

P-DRA will check for topology hiding and if thats not required, then it will not change any parameter in the message and will fall through to PRT for further routing. It will not check the SBR as in case of OCDRA.

PDRA does not support Dest-Host AVP repacement when receiving the session query result. Hence what you want cannot be achieved.
