FIELD ENGINEER/ADMINISTRATOR INSTRUCTIONS:
- PROBLEM OVERVIEW: The Front Door Switch has been determined defective and requires replacement
- WHAT STATE SHOULD THE SYSTEM BE IN TO BE READY TO PERFORM THE RESOLUTION ACTIVITY?: Library must be offline to the system.
- WHAT ACTION DOES THE FIELD ENGINEER/ADMINISTRATOR NEED TO TAKE?:

Note: Refer to the SL4000 Install and Service Manual for additional details as needed.

When you order the front door switch cable, you will also receive the switch. The front door switch is located on the front of each Base and Drive Module frame.

Removal
1. Take the library offline, and then open the front door of the module.
2. On the inside of the door frame, disconnect J521 at the end of the switch cable.
3. Squeeze the sides of the switch, and then push the switch and cable out through the front of the frame.

Replacement
1. Reverse the removal procedures.

OBTAIN CUSTOMER ACCEPTANCE
- WHAT ACTION DOES THE FIELD ENGINEER/ADMINISTRATOR NEED TO TAKE TO RETURN THE SYSTEM TO AN OPERATIONAL STATE?: Bring the library back online to the system and verify the front door switch is functional.
