Removal
1. Take the drive offline. Remove the drive tray from the library, remove the top cover, and then open the rear cover (see "Drive Tray Removal to Access FRUs" on page 11-10).
2. With the rear cover open, disconnect the cables from the back of the drive (T10000D shown below, other models may differ).

Note: To access the cables, you may need to remove the fan assembly. Loosen the captive screw between the fans, and then lift up.

3. Remove the air-flow shield between the LOD card and the top of the drive.
4. Remove the four T15 screws from the sides of the tray (two on each side).
5. Pull out the drive. Remove and retain the bezel on the front of the drive. Remove and retain the SFP modules (if installed in FC interface ports).

Replacement
1. Install the bezel on the front of the new drive (ensure both sides snap into place). Install the SFP modules (if applicable).
2. Slide the drive fully into the tray.
3. Reinstall the four T15 screws on the sides of the tray (two on each side).

IMPORTANT: Install the screws in the STK position (see "Drive Mounting Hole Locations" on page 11-11).

4. Insert the air flow shield over the drive, ensuring the shied is under the LOD card.
5. Reconnect the cables to the back of the drive, starting with the power cable. Reinstall the fan (if applicable).
6. Secure the rear cover by replacing the four T10 screws.

OBTAIN CUSTOMER ACCEPTANCE
