Goal

How to resolve high CPU usage on SOAM servers caused by cmsoapa process.

Solution

  1. Restart the cmsoapa process by performing the following on the SOAM:
    pm.kill cmsoapa
  2. Verify that cmsoapa successfully exits by using command below:
    pm.getprocs
  3. If process does not exit after 2 minutes, do the following to restart cmsoapa process:
    pm.kill -9 cmsoapa
