Goal
Stop all NPAC and Eagle agents for a successful restart node in LSMS server.
Solution
- Verify health and status of both servers. (LSMSPRI and LSMSSEC):
# uptime
# syscheck
# hastatus
# sentry status
- Log into the ACTIVE LSMS as lsmsadm. (or su - lsmsadm):
- stop all npac agents.
Command syntax: lsms stop <name> (replace the name with Regional name)
- stop all eagle agents.
Command syntax: ealge stop <name> (replace the name with Agent name)
- Log into the STANDBY LSMS as root.
Start screen session:
# screen
- Start the LSMS Manager Utility:
# su - lsmsmgr
- Perform the Stop Node.
- Maintenance > Stop Node
- Answer ‘yes’ and follow prompts.
- When the Stop Node completes, return to the Maintenance menu to perform Start Node:
- Select Maintenance > LSMS Node Status. Verify that the Local Node is "UNINITIALIZED "INHIBITED" and the Remote Node is "ACTIVE".
- Select Maintenance > Start Node
- Answer ‘yes’ and follow prompts.
- When the Start Node completes, exit the utility back to the command line prompt.
- Log into the ACTIVE LSMS as lsmsadm. (or su - lsmsadm)
- start all Eagle agents.
Command syntax: ealge stop <name> (replace the name with Agent name)
- start all npac agents.
Command syntax: lsms start <name> (replace the name with Regional name)
- Verify health and status of both servers. (LSMSPRI and LSMSSEC):

# syscheck
# hastatus
# sentry status
