Goal

Following error message is received when applying the license file to a fresh install of OCEEMS 46.3.

ERROR CODE : 507
The license file specified is not valid.

Solution

The startnms script has been performed from new non-root admin user emsadmuser

[emsadmuser@oceemshost bin]$ sh startnms.sh

The license file is owned by user root and does not have permissions for other users

[root@oceemshost ~]# ll /tmp
total 4
-rw------- 1 root root 2841 Aug 28 16:28 46.xml

Perform chmod on license file so that the non-root admin user emsadmuser can use it for applying license

chmod 777 /tmp/46.xml
