Goal

 Define the location and meaning of the different system LEDs.

Fujitsu M12-1 OPNL LEDs and Switches

M12-1 Front LEDs 

M12-1 Front LED and Switch Descriptions
Icon LED Name LED Color Description
   Power Icon Power LED Green
  • On - System is up and running
  • Blinking - System stop in progress
  • Off - System is stopped and/or not powered on
XSCF Standby Icon XSCF Standby Green
  • On - XSCF is functioning normally
  • Blinking - System initialization is in progress after power has been turned on
  • Off - XSCF is stopped
 Check Icon Check LED Amber
  • Steady On - An error has been detected
  • Blinking - Indicates that the cabinet should be maintained. (this function is also referred to as a locator.)
  • Off - The system is in a normal state, power is disconnected or not being supplied

Specifies the operation mode
  • This mode is used in a normal operation. The power switch can start the system but cannot stop it.
Service Mode Icon

Service Mode

Specifies the operation mode  

This is used during maintenance.

  • The power switch can start and stop the system.
  • Set the system to the Service mode when performing maintenance work.
 Power Button Power button Start/Stop
  • Press - Less than 4 seconds,
    • if the system is stopped in locked mode the system starts
  • Press - More than 4 seconds,
    • If the system was started in Service mode:  Perform the system shutdown process to stop the system.
    • If the system startup process is in progress in Service Mode:  Cancels the system startup process and stops the system.
    • If the system stop process is in progress in Service mode:  Continues the system stop process
    • If the system is stopped in Service mode:  Operation is ignored.  Even a long press does not start the system.
    • If the system is stopped in Locked mode:  Starts the system.  If a wait time for the air conditioning facilities or a warm-up time is set on the XSCF, the
      processing for waiting for the power-on of the air conditioning facilities and the completion of warm-up is omitted.

1 System Locator LED Amber

System Locator LED - used to identify system in a rack. 

  • Has the same functionality as the CHECK LED on the OPNL
2 XSCF Ready LED Green
  • On - The XSCF is operating
  • Blinking - XSCF is initializing
  • Off - Component is powered off
3 XSCF Check LED Amber
  • On - Indicates an error has occurred
  • Blinking - Indicates that the component requires maintenance ( aka locator )
  • Off - Normal state

LED Name LED Color Description

Power LED Green System is running; a system shutdown is in progress: system is stopped and/or not powered on.
Check LED Amber

Indicates the operation status of the SPARC M12-2/M12-2S.

  • On: Hardware has detected an error.
  • Off: The target SPARC M12-2/M12-2S is operating normally. Or it is not powered on.
  • Blinking: Maintenance work is in progress for the target SPARC M12-2/M12-2S.
