Goal

How to access EAGLE STP MMI port from E5-APP-B card?

Solution

1. Please make sure the required cable connectivity is done between P5 serial port (ttyS2) of EPAP-B and the MMI port (any MMI port) of EAGLE.

Note:- The following cable/adapter are required to do the connection (830-1423-XX – Adapter for the back of the STP and 830-1212-XX – Cable to connect from the ttyS2 of the APP-B adapter to the back of the 830-1423-XX STP adapter.) Without these exact cables, the connection to the MMI will not work.

2. Please make sure P5 serial port (ttyS2) is configured in EPAP-B.

· remoteConsole --query

· remoteConsole --add --name=eagle --bps=9600 --port=ttyS2 --databits=7 --parity=E

· remoteConsole --query

· remoteConsole --query --name=eagle

. pkill -9 agetty

. pkill -9 mingetty

. pkill -9 minicom

After the above two requirements are met, execute the below command to access the EAGLE MMI port from EPAP-B.

minicom eagle
