Applies to:

Oracle Communications Diameter Signaling Router (DSR) - Version DSR 7.1.2 and later
Tekelec

Goal

Can we set up DSR with only two Diameter Agent Message Processors (DA-MPs) in Active Standby Mode without implementing IPFE?

Solution

This is a network planning and design question and the best team to answer such questions is the Oracle Consulting team.
Customer should contact Oracle consulting via Oracle Sales Technical Account Manager.

DA-MP Active-Standby (1+1) per DSR signaling node configuration is supported but not recommended.
This is mentioned in 7.4 Planning Guide - Page 17: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E80134_01/docs.74/E80924_rev_01.pdf
