Oracle Communications Diameter Signaling Router (DSR) - Version DSR 7.2.0 and later
Tekelec

Goal

While doing a test for Connections Congestion on DSR Dashboard 2 connections are facing congestion which was correct but when clicking on the hyperlink to see those 2 connections all the DSR connections are seen which is not expected.

Seems the filter for the Hyperlink is not correct. Can you please check this behavior?

Solution

checked the Dashboard feature and both egress and ingress congested connection counters are working as designed.

For Number of Connections Egress Congested (NumConnsEgrCong): The filter should be: Admin State “Is Enabled” & Operational Status “Is Degraded”

For Number of Connections Ingress Congested (NumConnsIngCong): The filter should be: Admin State “Is Enabled”

This difference is because of differences in how the Ingress and Egress Connections are termed as Congested. For egress congested; the additional filter of "degraded" gets required subset. For ingress congested; a filter of "degraded" may or may not provide the required subset.

So an additional filter of "degraded" on ingress connections will not be relevant. Hence the above mentioned design consideration
