Solution1. How to collect a log snapshot for local Operator Panel diagnosis. Bring up a remote session of SLConsole. Refer to Quick Reference Guide: How to use SLC (StorageTek Library Console) (Doc ID 2146281.1) for setting up a remote session. 2. You will need to verify that the current local op panel is a linux based op panel type IL2.6.18-194.el5 or above. See example below: 3. Select Diagnostics under the Tools menu. 4. It is helpful if you make your SLConsole screen wider at this time to allow you to see all the tab selections. 5. Select the Transferfile tab and click on Selected Devices drop down. 6. You should see a screen like the following. 7. Click on the Operator Panel and then on Generate Log Snapshot on Library button. 8. Once the log snapshot has been collected you'll get the pop up window indicating that the log snapshot file has been created. 9. Save the log snapshot to your laptop and upload to the SR as you do any other log snapshot. 10.The TSC will analyze the log snapshot for your local Operator Panel problem.
