Goal

How to determine iSCSI Paths seen by Solaris Host.

Multipathing software will only mange IO thru paths seen by Solaris.

Solution

iSCSI Connection - TCP connection between an iSCSI initiator (client) and an iSCSI target (server)

iSCSI Session
- One or more iSCSI connections
- Relates to SCSI I-T nexus

iSCSI Multipathing Path = iSCSI Session

The storage array must be set up properly to either provide:

- Differing ISID for a single target/logical unit

- Different targets (same logical unit of course)

Example:

PURE storage Array has been set up with "Differing ISID for a single target/logical unit"
