Information in this document applies to any platform.

Have a customer that are going to move the SL500 and have been asked this question by the data center management.
Checked but have no found manuals or info about this (no info found on Assurance guide or Installation manual).

Goal

 Does the SL500 have standard front-to-back AIR FLOW?

Solution

Yes, the fans on the back of the SL500 pull air by the controller card in the library and the air is supplied from the front mesh in the front door.

Also the fans on the drive trays pull air from the front of the drives through the drives and out the back side of the drive tray.
