Solution Type Technical Instruction Sure Solution 2271808.1 : How Does DSR Do Routing Across Route Groups (RG)?
In this Document
Created from <SR 3-14886767141> Applies to:Oracle Communications Diameter Signaling Router (DSR) - Version DSR 3.0 and laterTekelec GoalExplain how DSR do routing across route groups? Solution"Route Across Route Groups" is enabledIf "Route Across Route Groups" is enabled - what requests will be retransmitted to another RG in RL? Route Across Route Groups (RG) Defines whether all Route Groups in the Route List can be used for routing Request messages or just the “Active” Route Group. If this attribute is selected for the Route List, Route Across Route Groups can provide an alternate path if the initial route group is congested. RG in RL with Highest current priority will be Active RG If the message cannot be routed via Active RG; then next highest capacity RG within the RL will be tried. Example: Suppose there are two RG within RL. If option is selected; then Active RG will be used unless a message cant be sent via Active RG. Higher priority Route Groups is aliveDo we have any options to retransmit a request on certain conditions to a RG with lower priority, while higher priority RG is alive? When you have selected the "Route Across Route Groups"; then you cannot specify some traffic to be sent to a lower priority RG (i.e. standby RG) Referencescgbu_eg_524-DRL CORE ROUTING REQUIREMENTSAttachments This solution has no attachment |
