Applies to:

Sun Server X3-2 - Version All Versions to Not Applicable [Release All Releases to N/A]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Gather RAID Controller logs when the OS is down.

Solution

During boot, enter the Preboot CLI with <CTRL><Y> when this option is displayed.

 PrebootCLI

Now, all the MegaCli commands can be run (without using the first part "MegaCli"), as follows:

CfgDsply -aAll
AdpBbuCmd -aAll
FwTermLog -Dsply -a0
PDList -aAll
etc

Since it is not possible to scroll this screen, the -page option can be used to limit the lines per page: Use the -page[N], where N is the number of lines per page:

PDList -aALL -page20

pageoption

To see the available commands, the -h can be used along with the controller #.

i.e

-h -a0 page15
